Plain terms for a free tool with optional paid plans. By using ContourMapMaker you agree to them.

What the contours are

Contours are generated from public elevation data. Accuracy depends on the source data, and they are not a substitute for a field survey or a licensed land survey. Check important results yourself before relying on them, and do not use the maps for navigation, engineering, boundary or legal decisions without a qualified professional. The service is provided as is, without warranty.

Using the maps you make

You may use the maps and files you make for personal and commercial work, including prints, products, reports and designs. The elevation data and basemap come from public sources with credit requirements; keep the credit line that the tool puts on images and in files, or credit the sources listed in the site footer.

Paid plans

Paid plans unlock the features described on the pricing page for the period you paid for. Yearly plans renew until cancelled from your Account page. See the refund policy for refunds.

Fair use

Do not misuse the service, try to bypass payment, or overload it or the public data services it relies on with automated requests. We may limit requests that look automated.
